The Value of Personal Brand

A polished personal brand is a reflection of self awareness and self worth.  When meeting someone in business for the first time, your personal brand is what they see first. If your outer presentation is congruent with your skillset you are perceived as authentic and credible.  80% of what we say about ourselves is done nonverbally in the details of grooming, style and body language. A genuine and refined style is developed with makeup and wardrobe guidance; valuable and necessary for all those who are reaching for higher goals.

We all know when we look good we feel good about ourselves and we project more confidence and vitality. A developed image ranges from casual to dressy, so daily you can get dressed quickly and be put together without being under or over dressed.  It is not something reserved for special occasions, it is part of everyday life. Wherever you go you are your personal brand and you only get one chance to make a first impression. Taking this to heart,  I have met many of my clients while running errands.

As a Hollywood Makeup Artist and Image Consultant, I can tell you first hand that for actors and actresses, makeup and wardrobe are key components in making their character “believable” to them as well as their audience.

These photos illustrate that image is important even in our homes. If given a choice we would all choose the well manicured lawn over the neglected lawn because beautiful aesthetics are more appealing, give us joy and reflect care.

Wellness is Beauty

Wellness is a lifestyle of intentional choices that support health and wellbeing. Choosing optimal nutrition results in radiant, gorgeous skin, hair, eyes and energy. I discovered this as a teenager with horrible cystic acne and eczema. I tried lots of different products, many of them irritated my skin to a raw redness. I realized my skin issues were coming from within. This led me to nutrition information. Eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats, and drinking lots of water and using simple skincare regimen, not only eliminated my acne but also the annoying eczema. As a Hollywood trained makeup artist and Image Consultant, I have helped countless women achieve radiant, gorgeous skin by encouraging them to make healthy choices and use a daily skincare regimen. Beautiful skin increases confidence and credibility so when others are looking at you in conversation they are not distracted by skin issues.

Optimal Nutrition for Beauty

Great skin comes from a discipline to a healthy lifestyle of rest, exercise, positive thinking, optimal nutrition and a regular skincare regimen. A regular diet of whole fresh fruits and vegetables promotes smooth, healthy radiant skin, hair, nails and body. 

Beets are one of my favorite vegetables because of their exceptional contributions to the body and skin. The great number of anthocyanins contained in beets has a positive impact on the condition of skin and hair. Beets improve the complexion by reducing inflammation,  dry skin, freckles and age spots and makes the skin firmer. It was actress Eartha Kit’s secret for ageless skin. This amazing root also rejuvenates the skin to  help eliminate acne. Beets can even be used for hair; they help get rid of dandruff and  make your hair shinier and healthier.

When I am feeling run down or a cold coming on, I juice beets, carrots, ginger root, green apples and blackberries. This purifies the blood and is a powerful anti-oxidant to rid my body of illness while giving me energy and a great glow. Eating beets regularly not only helps to recover quickly from illness it also helps for recovery after heavy physical activity. Beets are wonderful for reducing depression, high blood pressure and neurosis.
